Show Notes:
Not a lot to remember here. I alluded to a bit of it in the Metallica set (upped by bubba a couple weeks back), but Aerosmith was PISSED, because the deal with Woodstock was "no band stage sets, just the Woodstock provided lights and whatnot". Then Metallica came out and blew the place up (pyro, BIG no-no). So I'm not sure if Woostock gave Aerosmith full rein or what, but this performance, to me, is the best I've ever heard them sound, at least since the 70's. No shit. Or, what I'm getting at, is you can hear the anger come thru in the performance. Loud and fucking clear. This recording actually came out pretty good, in comparison to most of my Woodstock '94 masters. Maybe they gave Aerosmith some extra volume, I'm not sure. Other than my technical difficulties (the very end of the show is missing, and I think my tape flips were kinda weak). And it was POURING RAIN during this set. Like I remember watching the video weeks later, and you could see them squeegee the stage and literally sheets of water were flying up in the air when the workers were pushing the water. I'd been standing in the same spot for over 12 hours, and feel somewhat lucky that this audience tape exists at all (and due to the hour, I slept in and missed The Allman Brothers on Sunday). Anyhow, not sure if Dennis left in any of the pre-show chat, but it was some kinda funny stuff. And he's a kind soul for upping all of this crap. Yes, I dragged 20 tapes and 80 batteries to a PPV show. Don't ask me what the fuck I was thinking

Back In The Saddle
Big Ten Inch Record
Three Mile Smile
Reefer Headed Woman
Dream On
Lick And A Promise
Walk This Way
Rats In The Cellar
Milk Cow Blues
Toys In The Attic
Train Kept A Rollin’

Notes: This show is right from the KBFH vinyl. This is from the Crespo/Whitford era. Sound is great, but there is slight surface noise mostly contained to spaces between songs. I attached a Tom Hamilton interview from Detroit which he gave as a lead in to the playing of this KBFH show. Gives some insight into this period of the band and why they ended up doing club dates at this time.

I flipped Rats In The Cellar and Milk Cow Blues. I'm 100 percent sure the latter was played right before Toys. The band played Stage West over two night 6/11 and 6/12/80. When I first started collecting, I got a list from the person who recorded the gigs from the audience, but he vanished before I could get the shows from him. Boo! Hamilton confirms in the interview all of the broadcast is from the second night. There are a few commercials after Train Kept A Rollin’ circa 1980 that were on the disc.

Notes:
This set is sourced from a recording made straight to DAT from a rebroadcast on WBCN Boston, sometime around 1994. This is NOT the common generated cassette source (just as the muddy source found on "King's Chronicle" Disc 2), NOR is it glasnostrd19's upload from his Master FM cassette, as his is missing two tracks.

This bootleg was originally going to be called [Just Snorted Enough, But...] but because of a typo
its called Sorted without the N.

At Dimeadozen the guy (I forget his name) who recorded this FM Broadcast said that during Walk This Way there is a dropout because
his deck ate a piece of the tape.

10 post-show announcements- Indianapolis concerts :23

source: audience > Superscope CS200 stereo cassette recorder >
Memorex cassette > Nakamichi BX-125 > Aardvark Q10 > 96/24 wav >
Soundforge 44.1/16 wav conversion > flac 8 (sector alignment)

I recorded this 31 years ago with a stereo Superscope CS200 cassette recorder
onto Memorex blank tape. The tape shell had to be replaced before transfer.

The Morris Civic Auditorium was home to monthly, mostly sold-out shows by up-and-comers
in the now-called "classic rock" scene: Rush, Kiss, Queen, Kansas, and of course Aerosmith.
A combo of a so-so PA and acoustics of the old auditorium resulted in a boomy, slightly distant tape.
Also, the first third of this concert was on another cassette that has been lost.

I've seen an Aerosmith concert on this date attributed to Providence, RI, but this is
the correct date and venue. Either this "Providence" show has the wrong place or date.
The after-show announcements mention a J. Geils Band show on Halloween, "a week from Thursday,"
and this show was definitely on a Sunday.
